Tbe weekly meeting of the Otago Land Board on Wednesday was attended by the Chief Commissioner (Mr D. Barron), Messrs Dallas, Duncan and JKarkpatrick. Messrs' Qfum arid Rodger wrote in regard to application by Ottrey Bros. for a license to cat props at Birch Basil) v ,Cr<Qaktt«a district. — <3 ranted at a license of 20a.

Anisiant Banger O'Neill forwarded valuation of tbe improvements on wclion^t block 13, Pomabrika Downs estate, rtcentrly held by John Her: riott, ien.--Approved. Hansi'Peter Friis applied for a lease under The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 1894,' over ■ection'^42, block 5, Tuapeka East district • also an application by John Blair for a similar lease over portion of the same section. — Granted to Peter Frhs over 12 acres; also to John Blair over 11 acres j improvements by Friis to be valued. John^.. Thompson, on behalf of Robert D. Ross, applied to purchase about two and a-balf acres adjoining section 119, block 19, Tuapeka East district — Held over. Wi^ht; and Co., on behalf^^pLeorgß^Matheson, wrote in regard to valuation allowed for fencing on small grazing run, sections 12, block 9, and 1, block 13, Tuapeka East district. — Held over.

An application for an occupation lease under * The' Mining Districts Land Occupation Act, 1896,' by Mrs Ellen- Sheeban, 10 acres in block 11, Waitabuna West distiict, was referred to Mr M'Lean for report. §g J.
