Miss Ada Delroy, after an absence from New Zealand of over four years, has returned from Europe with a company of star artistes who have been tonring the world with the greatest success in South Africa, India* . China, Manila, and other places, and will open in the- Town Hall, Lawrence, for one night only, on Saturday, 6th July. At ! each of these places the success has been unprecedented, and in compliance ' with numerous requests the season was ■ prolonged in each instance. The company consists of twelve artistes, all of metropolitan fame. There . is a bioscope with all the latest and up- - to-date pictures, /Amongst them are shown an eight mile view of the Paris Exhibition, " The life of Joan of Arc," in ! twelve scenes, said to be the finest pic- [ tnre exhibited, authentic Transvaal and ; China war scenes, the very best and ' newest miscellaneous pictures it is possible to seenre, all being of the moßt interesting and amusing character. The White Mahatma is another feature of the entertainment. This lady is guaranteed to be the genuine White Mahatma who caused such a sensation in England some few years ago. The amusement loving, public have now an opportunity of witnessing a really; first-class metropolitan company. The entertainment is entirely free from any objectionable feature, and can safely be witnessed by anyone. -~ To Thx Deaf— A rich lady, oared of her Deaf neu and Noises in the Head by|Dr Nicholson's Artificial Ear Drums gave £5,000 to bis Institute, so that deaf people unable to procure the Ear Drams may have them free.
