DREDGING.

SALES ON 'CHANGE. [By Telbgbaph.] The following sales took place on the Danedin Stock Exchange up tb 3 p.m. yesterday : Bendigo, 2u/6 Caimmuir, 21/, 21/6 Endeavor, 19/3 Fourteen-mile, 45/, 45/3 Gibbs Beaoh, 6/6, 7/ Gold Queen, 9/6 Golden Uiver, 6/3 Magnetic, 26/, 26/6, 26/3, 26/ Nelson Creek, 56/9, 57/ Sixteen-mile Beach, 17/ Viotory, 2/, 1/6, 1/3, 1/ Steam was got np on the Happy Valley dredge yesterday afternoon, when a run was taken out of the engine and winches. Mr J. Douglas, representative of the oontraotors (Messrs A. and T. Bart) waa present, and personally supervised the trial which proved thoroughly satisfactory. Only a few minor details remain to be attended to before dredglag operations can be commenced. Mr Jno.
