The lists for the Bix»h Contingent closed on WedneEday. Over 1000 men men offer* d, and as ouly 500 are called for there will be a wholesale weeding out. From Otogo 358 applications had been received, and up to last ' night 133 bad been medically examined and 47 out of this number rejected. All those ' who have passed the medical, shooting, and riding tests will proceed to Wellington on Monday, where the final selection will b 8 made.
