RAILWAY OVERCROWDING.

A local solicitor sued the Midland Railway Company for damages for discomfort and inconvenience caused by overcrowding. The plaintiff, a first-class passenger, complained that third-class passengers were forced into his compartment without his consent. The judge ruled that overcrowding was a breach *of contract.
