The Western Union Telegraph Company have been sued by a man for 2,000d0l damages for failure to deliver to him a telegram announcing the death of his brother in Chicago. His allegation set forth that through this failure the plaintiff " was deprived of the satisfaction and pleasure of seeing his brother and being present at the fnneral."
A coroner's jury in Peoria (Illinois) brought in tho following verdict one day lately :—": — " We find that the deceased came to her death by being found dead in her bed."
