It -waa not difficult for McGinness to find a companion. He bad long been making love and carousing in the smiles and winning graces of the widow Arabella Camilla Perkins, and he had succeeded in convincing her of his wealth and great moral worth, and the day for the momentuous occasion of ratifying the holy bonds which would make these two souls with but a single thought, theee two dead beats as one, or words to that effect, was not far distant.
