COMMERCIAL.
LOCAL SALES. Mr John Thompson reports having sold at auction on Saturday last, parts of sections 10 and 12, block IX., Lawrence, comprising 31 poles, with dwellinghouse thereon, to Mr John Tanton, of Lawrence, for the sum of £175.
Messrs J. A. Park and Co. held a sale of special claims, steam dredge, water rights, etc., the property of the Clutha Gold Dredging Company, M'Cunn's Beach, Clutha River, at their rooms, Dunedin, on Saturday afternoon. There was a fair attendance of bidders, amongst whom were country buyers, but as the bidding did not reach the reserve price fixed by the owners the property was passed in at £1000.
