(From our own Correspondent. ) A FRESH TRIAL. ' Dunbdin, January 25th. In the Supreme Court to - day, Judge Williams granted a new' trial in the equity case brought by Mrs Jones against F. W. Anderson, solicitor, in which plaintiff succeeded.
A BIG PRICE. Messrs Reid, M'Lean and Co. have sold 2,600 acres of Menlove's Windsor estate, in the Oamaru district, to Mr Win, AtMn, of Victoria, for £31,200 cash. THE INTERPROVINCIAL CRICKET MATCH. In the interprovincial cricket match, Otago v. Canterbury, which was commenced m Ohristchurch to-day, the local players have scored 354 runs for the last nine wickets, having been in all day. FATAL ACCIDENT. The police this morning received information that Archibald Baird, of Stirling, twelve years old, was drowaed while bathing in the lagoon yesterday afternoon. The body was found two hours later.
