came and whispered love. Oh ! 'twas sweet (here by the brookside, in the gloaming, two alone ; Oh 1 'twas wordsof j-outhaud passion mingled with the windj soft moan ; Oh ! 'twas joy, and of all moments best that life to mortal gives ; lie who knows it, in the gloaming', he alone most truly lives.
