Two of the latter kiud came to hand by the last English mail. AMr Robert Jaques, of Newcastle-on-Tyne, seriously proposes to send out to the Government of Victoria, for distribution among the farmers of the colouy, some 1,500 terriers of the Bedlington or Rothbury breed, for which he modestly asks " £5 a head for dogs, and £6 15s for sluts, collars and chains to be charged extra." The second communication is from Henry Davenport, of Oldham, who offers to bring out " 20 of the best men in England, who" 1 will work ni»hb and day until the rabbits are destroyed." He requests the Government to remit the passage money for conveying the materials, and adds that when the work of men, together with £300 to purchase outfit and extermination is completed, they will expect to participate in the reward of £50,000.—" Argus."
