Fat Cattle.— l 23 head yarded, the greater portion being light weights and only medium quality, with a few pens prime beasts. The moderate supply caused brisker competition than has been observable for some time past, and good beef brought an advance of quite 2s 6d per 1001 bon last quotations. Best bullocks brought from £8 15s to £11 17 a6d ; others, £5 10s to £8 10s ; cows, £5 to £8 7s 6d.— Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. quote prime beef at from 22s 6d to 25s per 1001 b. Fat Calves. — None forward. Fat Sheep. — 2055 penned, 1184 of which were cross-breds and 871 merinos. For really good cross-breds and merinos competition was animated, more particularly during the early part of the day, and a slight advance on late rates was made, but as the sales progressed bidding was less brisk, and prices more in favor of buyers. Best crosabreds brought 13s 6d to 15s 6d ; others, 10s 6d to 13s ; merinos, 7s 6d to 13s 9d.— Prime mutton is quoted at 2£d per lb. Horses. —Wright, Stephenaon and Co. quote first-class draughts at from £26 to £30 $ medium, £15 to £22; first-class hacks and light-harness horses, £16 to £23 ; medium, £9 to £14 ; light and inferior, £3 to £5. Store Cattle. — There are inquiries for three to four-year-old beasts in forward condition, but actual transactions are very limited.

Wool. — Locally I hero is no business of any consequenco to report. The few odds lots occasionally offered are taken by fellmongerß ab about rates quoted last week. Rabbil skins. — Locally the sales hare been well attended, and prime ekins continue in good demand at late rates.
