(From our own Correspondent.) Vvnevix, January 6th. Vandyke has been found guilty of shooting with intent at Miss Wadsworfch, and has been sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. A fatal accident occurred to a man named Enoch Jones, fireman on board the Iron Age. Jt is supposed that in the passage from the stoke-hole, he fell among the machinery and was struck by part of it. The fire, is said to be now threatening Archer's Hotel. There is no water supply or fire brigade at Boatmans. Mrs Burke'g HoteJ is amongst those destroyed. The insurances are not large. The Standard Company are probably the greatest losers, It is expected that France will shortly auuei the New Hebrides.
