LAND BOARD.

At the last sitting of the Land Board, the following business of local interest was transacted :— Joseph Tamblyn applied to purchase ten acres in block 2, Teviot, between section 37 and road-line. — Granted. The District Land Officer at Lawrence, recommended ' that section 2, block 14, Chatton, should' be opened for sole on the perpetual lease system. — The section had already been dealt with. The proclamation setting apart section 7, block 8, Benger, as deferred-payment land having been rescinded, it was decided to offer the section as land of special value, with valuation for improvements to the extent of £70, subject to the approval of the Government. It was resolved to insert a notice iL the "Gazette," under section 137 of the Land Act, as to the non-payment of rent, and liability to forfeilure in respect to the fol lowing runs: — Nos. 13, 15, 427, 420, 185, 212 A, 212 C, 212 D, 17A and 444:
