" THE PRINCE OF SMELLS."
(To the Editor.)
Sib, — Your correspondent " Nflsus," whose letter appears in last Saturday's issue of the Times, seems very auxiou3 to prevent a poor man getting an honest living, and is a little too much concerned about the duties of a well-tried and fuilhful servant of the Borough. Does he not know thut every bust - ness bus something connected with it to tho public might take exception ? Even this business of letter writing has a very noxinu* odour— an odour that not only effects the nasal orgnn, but also touches tbe spirit and life of a hard-working father, who is tn ing to keep his children with his own earnings, and is determined to pay 20s in the £. Since I have been in tho fish-trade, I have done my best tj prevent anything like a nuisance, ns my neighbors can testify. This I shall con* tinue to do, and hope that •• Nasus " will not again have cause to complain. — I am, &c , G. Bukkeit.
