[By Telegraph."] , » . Police v. Marg Featherstone. — Charged with being drunk in the streets on the previous evening. Fined ss, with costs 2s, or twenty-four hours' imprisonment. M'Phail v. M'Gee.—Mv Wilson (of Clyde) for plaintiff, and Mr M'Ooy (of Lawrence) for defendant. Objection was made by defendant's solicitor to certain omissions in the information, and the case was dismissed. Police v. Bain. — The accused was charged with stealing and driving away one heifer, the , property of Mr , John Brophy. Mr James Smith, of Dunedin, defended the accused, and SergeantMajor Moore conducted the prosecution. John Brophy, James Beighton, and Adolphus Brophy were examined up to the time of the closing of the Court. — There are three other witnesses for the prosecution, and ab.out eight for the defence. This case will in all probability occupy the greater part of to-morrow, and the Warden'b Court will be held on Thursday. The Court was crowded all day.
