NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. TOKOMAIRIRO AND LAWRENCE. rpENDERS ase invited by the Colonial J- Government for the construction of Railway between Tokomairiro and Lawrence— a distance of 22 miles. WANTED known, that any amount of all sorts of British, American, and Colonial Timber on hand, at nominal rates, that can be cut aud planed to any size required, at the People's Timber Yard. WANTED known, that Houses of all sizes can be built by contract, or otherwise, of best material, and unquestionably of best workmanship, and finished in a few days— in fact spring up as if by maijic, at the People's Carpenter's command. APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. TO prevent misapprehension, persons desirous of applying to purchase or occupy Crown Lands, aro informed that every application must bo made at the Land Office of tho district in which the land applied for is situated. The land in Glenkenich and Waipaheo districts, advertised open for application on the 22nd instant, must be applied for at Invercargill. Forms of application may bo had at any Land Office, or will be sent by post to any one if requested. Applications may be sent by post, addressed to the " District Land Officer,'? along with a draft in favor of the Receiver of Land Revenue, for the deposit of 2s. an acre of the land applied for. J.
