The number of arrivals in Port Chalmers during the past week have been from the neighboring Provinces — 105 persons, and the departures 34. Quotations are at Lll IDs for sacks, and Ll2 for bags. Second class flou* is not in sale. Oats remain at 3s for good sorts — the market is not overstocked. Oatmeal dull atLl6. The supply of fre3h butter is very Heutiful, owing to the dairy fanners not salting 'down their butter, and the cheese-making being over for the season. Salt butter in keg, lid per lb is asked for good samples. There is a good demand for cheese, and really good samples are scarce, and prices on the rise ; for good quality, 9d to lOd per lb. Side and rolled bacon, for good quality 9J to lOd per lb. There is a good demand for good colonial hams, hut scarce in the market, selling at Is to Is 2d per lb. Eggs are •till very scarce, and selling at 2u 6d per Sox.
