These Prizes will be judged before the start. Open to all bona fide residents within twelve miles of Lawrence. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All competitors to be subscribers to the fund of not less chan 10s., except when one owner enters more than one team, in which case the entry for the second or third team shall be ss. each. Teams to be on the ground by 9.30 a.m. Entries to be left with the Secretary, at his office, Lawrence, on or before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the 1 lth July ; and at Waitahuna, under cover, addressed to the Secretary, at Mr. Coghill's Hotel, on the same day, at 4 p.m. ; or, on the morning of the Match, by payment of double entrance fee. Depth of furrow, five inches ; ploughmen to find their own width. Each team to plough one-third of an acre. Time allowed : — Horses, five hours ; bullocks, six hours. Each ploughman to find his own poles, and no assistance allowed after the poles are set ; otherwise disqualified. Double-furrow ploughs to plough t\yothirds of an acre. All competitors to use plain irons. Any other regulations will be read on the ground, and all disputes to be settled by the Committee. L. C. HOLMES, Secretary.
