TEMPERANCE UNION

Memorial Service Held by Christchurch Branch. Misu Henderson presided at the fortnightly meeting of the Christchurch bi-anch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union, held on Wednesday. Devotions were led by Mrs J. Richards and took the form of a memorial service to the late Mrs K. R. McCombs, a past president of the Christchurch Union. Mrs Richards paid some fine tributes to the memory of the late Mrs McCombs and expressed sympathy with Miss Henderson and relatives The following resolution was passed: that this meeting of the Christchurch branch ot the Women’s Christian Temperance Union desires to place on record its keen sense of loss caused by the death of Mrs K. 11.
