New Zealand Public Service Commissioner. Per Press Association. DANNEVIRKE, This Day. The aeting-Prime Minister (Sir Alfred Ransom) announces that Mr Paul D. N. Verschaffelt, C.M.G.. Public Service Commissioner since 1922, has tendered to his Excellency the Governor-General
his resignation of the position. Acting on the advice of his Ministers his Excellency has accepted the resignation as from June 30. Mr A. D. Thomson will, for the present continue to act as Public Service Commissioner. Mr Verschaffelt’s resignation was sent from London. He went to England with the Minister of Finance, Mr Coates, in connection with the negotiations over the meat regulations.
