DECREE GRANTED.
Wife Had to Maintain Family. An agreement to separate led to the granting of a decree nisi to Barbara Glaister Harvey Andrews (Mr Young), who petitioned in the Supreme Court to-day for a dissolution of her marriage with Claude Victor Andrews, of Christchurch, traveller (Mr Watts). Petitioner said her husband had contributed nothing toward the upkeep of the house or the maintenance of herself and the children. Her earnings as a dressmaker kept the family going, while her husband did not tell her of money he was receiving from an estate in Dunedin. Petitioner’s health was breaking under the strain, and she agreed to her husband’s suggestion that it would be better for them to live apart. Petitioner was granted interim custody of the younger child.
