BOXING.
The highlight of the various boxing contests to be staged at the Radiant Hall on Wednesday evening by the Christchurch Sports Club will be the professional bout for the welter-weight title (fifteen three-minute rounds) between Don Stirling, of Oamaru, the present holder, and N. Mudgway, of Wailii. the challenger. This encounter should provide thrills a-plenty. If the contestants' performances are any criterion. Canterbury enthusiasts can anticipate an exciting contest. The referee will be Mr J. D. Hutchison, and the judges Messrs W. E. Mouldey and W. Bowden. The professional bout will be preceded by first-class amateur contests. Doors will open at 7.30 pm. and the first bout will begin at S o’clock sharp. AM tickets are now at Lange's. United Service Buildings, where reserves may be booked.
