HARRIERS.
Anglican Club’s Seven-mile Run. Members of the Anglican Harrier Club were the guests of the committee on Saturday afternoon. The run was held from the Courtenay Street Church Room. The trail was selected by S. 11. Barnett, W. Barnett and <3. Palmer through St Albans and Marshland, a distance of seven miles. The foremost runner* lost the trail and picked up an for the race. On account of this contusion the handicap race was abandoned. T. M. Penny was the outstanding runner. R. V Milne and D. J. Upton were also prominent. Arrangements are being made for transport to Ashburton on Saturday next for the race with Timaru Anglican harriers. If necessary, a run will be arranged for members remaining in Christchurch. University Club. The University Club members held a good training run over the Canterbury eliampionship course on Saturday afternoon, starting from the Old Stone House and running the full distance, 6J miles. The results of the run-in were: Fast Pack—A. Shannon 1, A. J. Midgley 2. A. Tideman 3. Slow Pack—W. .1. Oldham 1. A. H. Martin 2, TO. W. Low 3. Next Saturday the club will be the guests of Mrs B. Steeds and the run will he held from the Canterbury College rowing sheds.
