Woods won the race by three seconds. Guthrie was announced the winner before Woods finished, as it was not thought tftat Woods would win, even allowing for his time allowance. Woods broke the record on his last lap, at 85.6 m.p.h., and won. His machine was an Italian make, probably a twin-cylinder. Guzzi machines have been entered in the Senior T.T. for some years, but have been dogged by illluck. One finished second some years ago. but was disqualified for a technical fault. Woods previously raced on Norton machines, which this yeao* won the Teams Prize, the Manufacturers’ Prize, and the> Club’s Team Prize. They finished second, third and fourth. German machines were fifth and sixth.
