The choice of the name “Timber” was explained by Mrs Shaeffer this morning. Following the last art union the Shaeffers were discussing the name of “ Paint,” used by the drawer of the first prize. Mrs Shaeffer remarked that the winner apparently required paint. She required timber and would enter for the next art union under that name. The Shaeffers have a grown-up family, all but one being married.
