It was decided to communicate with the Minister of Employment again in respect to the matter. It was pointed out during the discussion that this committee, at the request of the Unemployment' Board, had had the control and responsibility of all eligible unemployed women and girls since its inception. There were facilities under the committee’s control sufficient to cope with the present situation, and expansion could be undertaken if necessary. It was reported that there were 82 persons employed in the centres under the committee's control. 15 were employed in the subsidised postions and 63 had been placed in private employment.
