BURGLARY ALLEGED.
Per Press Association. HASTINGS, This Day. Two young men named James Tait, 25 years of age, and Ronald Scott Barker, 22, appeared in the Police Court this morning charged with breaking and entering a shop and stealing two shotguns, a rifle, a quantity of ammunition and a suitcase, of a total value of £24 15s. Both were remanded for a week. On the night of the burglary a motor-car, it was stated, was left standing with its engine running near the shop. When a policeman on his beat approached the car it was driven away, but its number was taken.
