Wagstaff (Masterton) and G. Thornton (Grevmouth). The chairman of the Greymoutfi Harbour Board, Mr P. J. McLean, who has been visiting Christchurch, returned to the West Coast to-day. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mrs Walter Macfarlane, of Culverden, was passed by the Christchurch Presbytery at its meeting this morning. Mr J. W. Townsend, Senior Government Surveyor of Ships, Marine Department, Christchurch, who has been on annual vacation, has now returned to his duties. Mr E. Anderson, acting-chairman of directors of New Zealand Newspapers, Ltd., who has been on a business visit to Christchurch, leaves to-night on his return to Auckland.
