MANY PASSES.
Electrical Wiremen’s Examinations. In the Electrical Wiremen’s Examinations for 1935, T. A. Strachan, of Christchurch, gained the highest marks in the written section of the examination and wins one of the gold medals provided by the Cable Maker’s Association. He secured 72 marks out of a possible 100. In the written part of the examination Messrs E. G. Adcock, W. K. Mawson and F. L. Webb, all of Christchurch, were also successful in gaining passes. Successful Christchurch candidates in the practical part of the examination were Messrs H. Gowen, F. H. Herbert, J. A. A. Lester, E. H. Scrivenor and R. H. Withers. Mr C. Quinn, of Greymouth, was successful in the written part of the examination, and Messrs R. S. Grant, H. D. O’Leary and C. Quinn, all of Greymouth, were successful in the practical test.
