BANK CORNER LIGHTS.
Ordinary Lamps tp be Removed. All the ordinary electric lights at the Bank of New Zealand corner are to be removed this week, so that the full effect of the gaseous discharge lamp, which has been hung in the centre of the intersection, may be seen. The City Council decided some time ago to experiment with the gaseous discharge lamp at this intersection. Last week a lamp of this kind was erected at the intersection, but bad weather prevented the full effect of the new light being seen. Now the ordinary lamps are to be removed, so that the value of the new lamp on its own maybe gauged.
