"BETTER TIMES.”

Frank Neil Company’s Final Production. “On With the Show,” the second production staged by the J. C. William-son-Frank Neil International Variety Revue Company at the Theatre Royal, will be presented finally to-night. Although the company is due in Sydney at an early date, which necessitates the concluding of the Christchurch season to-morrow, the management has made arrangements to present a third and final revue, “ Better Times.” This bright and breezy production has been described as a “ a crazy night of fun and laughter,” for in it the players exchange parts and cause endless amusement. “ Better Times ” will begin at the matinee to-morrow (to which one child will be admitted free with every adult), and the company’s final gala performance will be given that night. “ Better Times ” is the type of revue that is the rage on the Continent and in England and America at the present time and the first presentation in Christchurch should meet with the approval of patrons of variety. As to-morrow night is definitely the company’s final appearance in the city, special efforts are being made to make the offering the brightest and by far and away the best of the series. All of the international stars will offer something “out of the box.” Nice, Florio and Lubow, the knockabout dancing team who have oaptured all Christchurch with their novel act, will again head the bill and they will be followed by Joey Porter, the young English comedian whose “ gags ” appeal to theatre patrons. Alec Halls, the silent humorist from the Berlin Wintergarden, will again appear, and others now well known are The Three Ambassadors, masters of melody and song; “ Les Diamondes - ,” from the Folies Bergeres, Paris, who present an act of remarkable beauty; Hope and Rav, with a budget of new jok<?s: M’Donald and Graham, Society dancers: and Grace Hartington, English soprano. Booking has opened for the final performances and patrons are urged to reserve early at the D.1.C., as the is bound to be booked out in advance.
