Reports and Returns From Operations. WORKSOP EXTENDED. The return for the Worksop Extended Gold Dredging Company for the week was 730 z lOdwt for 124 hours’ dredging. Nine thousand two hundred yards of Goldfields Dredging. DUNEDIN, Feoruary 15. The secretary of the Goldfields Dredging Co., Ltd., reports that the return for the week ended February 16 was 21oz lOdwt for 129 hours’ dredging, material were put through. Bell Bill Sluicing- Co. The Bell Hill Sluicing Company reports that the result of the wash-up was 19oz 17dwt. Bing Solomon Company. INVERCARGILL, February 15. Til* wash-up at the King Solomon mtutf this week amounted to 90oz ldwt. Hahaklpawa Goldfields. X.td, The Mahakipawa report for the period ended February 15 is as follows: The leading face south was advanced 7ft in poor grade wash. The bottom has risen up to 4ft in the face here and is quite smooth. Development work was continued throughout the week on the arch drive to connect present workings with the Golden Gate. This drive has now holed through to the Golden Gate workings. The drive is apparently still in wash with the bottom underfoot. We are leaving the bottom 2ft of the drive in, for the last sft, to form a dam to divert the water to the pump in the Golden Gate shaft until we have prospected the low ground over which we can pass. Later on all the water can gravitate through this arch drive to the main shaft and be lifted by the one pump. Mr J. R. Templin, chairman of directors of the company, and Mr J. D. Renton are making a visit to the mine thia week-end. Wailxl Operations. AUCKLAND, February 15. The following Information has been cabled from Waihi to London: No. 5 Level—North branch Martha .ode, driving has been suspended at 127 ft west. No. 6 Level—North branch Martha lode, in the winze being sunk at 216 ft west first 17ft assays 33s 3d per ton and next 16ft 5s 3d per ton. The reef is about 18in wide. No. 7 Level—North branch Martha lode, vein at 555 ft, we have driven to west on this 53ft, assay value 2s 3d per ton, width of lode is about 2ft. No. 12 Level—Edward lode, the lode has been crosscut at 160 ft south and measuring from west wall, first 10ft assays 2s 3d per ton, next 3ft 18s per ton, and last sft 7s 6d per ton.
