Sydenham Club Elects Committee. A general meeting of the Sydenham Draughts Club was held in the Sydenham Library on Tuesday last. Messrs G. Brown, F. Hill and S. James were elected as the committee for the 1935 season. The subscription was fixed at Is per quarter, the amount being subject to reduction or exemption in the case of unemployed members. New rules to govern the ladder competition were adopted, and the competition will commence next Tuesday. The following is the draw for places on the ladder:—Frandsen, Hodder, James, Fisher, Bracken, M'Grath. M’Kay, Shorten, s. Harrison, Johnstone, Hull. Main, G. Harrison, Hobbs, Brown and Hill. On Tuesday evening, March 5, a match will be played between teams chosen by G. Brown and F. Hill, the losers to entertain the winners.
