TO FIGHT SIN.
Army’s Mission in Careless World. (Received February 15, 1.45 p.m.) LONDON, February 14. General Evangeline Booth, in a message to the Press, said: “ Contact j with leading public figures and the j mass consciousness of thousands of my audiences have greatly impressed me J with the apparent imminence of a rej ligious revival. People are recognising j that a sincere turning to God is the I key to spiritual well-being and national J prosperity. I “ Nevertheless it is still over-fashion-J able to live carelessly, which often ' means sinfully. I am preparing a manii festo calling on the Army throughout the world simultaneously to redouble every effort in which it is engaged. This embraces a four-year programme, setting every individual Salvationist a specific task, the aggregate of which will mean a wide extension of our mission of salvation and helpfulness. “ I am going to Australia as a messenger bearing thousands of commissions from the high and low and expressing the Homeland’s love.”
