Sir Alexander Young has intimated to the Prime Minister that it is his desire to be relieved of the responsibilities of the, portfolio of Minister 6f Employment, and the matter of appointing a successor is at present receiving the attention of Mr Forbes. It is expected that the administration of the unemployment problem will be undertaken by the Hon 5. G. Smith, who already has had experience of the portfolio.
