It was reported to a meeting of the Somerfield Burgesses’ Association last evening that the Town Clerk had written stating that repair w'ork on Colombo Street South, which had been held up while water mains and tram tracks were being renovated, would begin almost immediately. There nave been frequent protests about the condition of this street, not only from members of the BurgesSes’ Association, but also from casual road users. The City Engineer reported at the end of last year that the work would be begun early in 1935.
