Dry Weather Affects Golf Fairways. At a meeting of the committee of the Lyttelton Golf Club it was reported that, owing to the dry season, only numbers two and three fairways would require attention this year. It would be impossible to cut the fairways and burning would have to be resorted to. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on February 26 Power Boat Race. The Banks Peninsula Cruising Club's power boat race for the Kennett Cup, which was postponed last Sunday, will be held on Sunday next. The course is from Lyttelton to Port Levy. Swimming Races. The Lyttelton Amateur Swimming Club will hold a 50yds championship and 440yds handicap at Corsair Bav on Saturday afternoon.
