DIVER’S SUCCESS.
The diving championship of the Mount Eden Swimming Club, recently held at Auckland, had an unexpected result, the holder, W. Ilassan, who is also the present New Zealand champion, losing to G. Berry, formerly _of the Fendalton Amateur Swimming Club. Berry gave a good general display, whereas Ilassan, although performing some brilliant dives, was penalised heavily for a weak standing header off the high board.
