TRACK WORK.

Candidates in Action at Addington. The top-dressing of the track at Addington has been completed, but the footing next to the inside rails is soft, and trainers this morning elected to work their horses about two sulky widths from the inside‘rail. The best effort of the series was provided by Finnebrogue (in saddle). Racketeer, Chechacho, Gold Country and Blandford. The distance was a mile and a half. Finnebrogue began quickly and made the pace for the first mile to Racketeer, Chechahco and Gold Country. Here Finnebrogue was pulled up. Blandford, who had joined the party at the four-furlong post, took the lead, but Gold Country then ran up to him, and when the straight was reached Gold Country, Racketeer and Chechahco were almost on terms, having headed Blandford. In the run home, Gold Country, Racketeer and Chechahco kept together and crossed the line two lengths in front of Blandford. The first half-mile -was negotiated in lrnin 12sec, the mile in 2min 19sec, and mile and a quarter in 2min 54sec. Chechahco and Racketeer completed the twelve furlongs in 3min 25sec. Gold Country, who gave them 4sec start, did 3min 21sec. Useful Work. Black Jester Carl Rongomal and Full Hand left In that order to cover a mile and a half. They raced In close formation all the way to record 3min 35 2-ssec, after taking lmin 11 2-ssec to traverse the first four furlongs. Renova trotted the last mile and a quarter of a mile and a half trial in 2min 56see. Agile sauntered over two miles in smin ssec. Pronto Bingen’s task was two miles In 4min 49 2-ssec. Golden Square paced the same distance in 4min 58sec. Blue Blood trotted a mile and a half in 3min 35see. Bingen Palm did strong work without. the hopples. He paced the last mile and a quarter of his assignment in 3min ssec. Wise Guy and a novice were companions over a mile and a half in 3min 39sec. Mystery Yet paced twelve furlongs in Cm in 2 9sec. Paragon's work was two miles in 4min 4Ssec. Silver de Oro paced a mile in 2mln 32seo. Gay Sister covered twelve furlongs In 3niln 33sec. Winning Wave and Tangatu were associated in a spin over a mile and a quarter in 2min 54sec. Dundee, Worthy King and Good Companion worked together over a mile and a quarter. Dundee registered 2min 53 2-ssec, Worthy King 2min 53sec, and Good Companion, who gave his colleagues a start, did 2min 4 9sec. Ohinemutu and a novice trotted a mile and a half in 3min 41sec. Bracken, without hopples, paced two miles in 4min 46sec. Tempest went a mile and a half without hopples In 3min 32sec. Iraq was let off with a mile and a half in Smin 36sec. Garner trotted a similar distance in the same time. Grace M’Elwyn gave two novices a start over a mile and a quarter and recorded 2min 57sec. Hollybank and Betty Jinks did a mile and a half in 3min 32sec.
