THEFT AT DUNSANDEL.
Man Took Gold Watch Chain. Already serving a sentence of six months in Paparua prison, Albqrt Henry Edgeworth, 21 years of age, was sentenced to a further month for theft when he appeared before Mr H. A. Young, S.M., this morning. The sentence will be concurrent w 7 ith his present term. The accused pleaded guilty to a charge that on October 15 at Dunsandel, he stole a gold walich chain valued at £5 and a wrist w 7 atch valued at 12s 6d, the property of Herbert Fleming Wright. Chief-Detective Dunlop said that’the charge was the aftermath of offences committed last year. On November 15 last, accused was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment for other offences in connection with the same complaint. At that time the watch and chain were missing but Edgeworth denied all knowledge of them. Later he admitted stealing them. The w 7 atch chain had been recovered but the accused said he threw away the watch, a cheap one.
