TRAMWAYS RICHER.
Holiday Revenue is Up by £515. For the twelve days of the holiday period, tramway revenue was £515 greater than for the corresponding period twelve months ago. Yesterday £730 was taken in cash fares on the trams, the day being very warm and line, while on January 2 last year, when the weather was dull and cold, the revenue amounted to £569, giving an increase yesterday of £l6l. The total increase for the New Year period was £213 and with the increase of £302 at Christmas the board’s finances are £515 better off than a year ago.
