SCHOOL PRIZES.

Ceremony at Avonside Girls’ High. DISPLAY BY PUPILS. The annual prise-giving; ceremony at the Avonside Girls’ High School was bold this afternoon and was attended a large number of parents. After the distribution of prizes a display of drill was given by the pupils, and work done during; the year was placed on The report of the principal (Miss E. M. The Radiant Hall was well filled this morning, when prizes won during the year by pupils of the Rangi-ruru School were presented by Mrs A. K. Warren. The principal (Mrs H. Gibson) in her annual report referred to the splendid scholastic work of the year. The school had also done well on the athletic aide. A short address was given by the Rev A. K. Warren, who advised the girls to carry on their education. for without education, life \ ould become intolerable. They should give and take —give happiness, and share it with others.
