CONDITION OF CEMETERY.
Complaints of Disrepair Made. Statements that the eastern side of the Barbadoes Street Cemetery was in such disrepair that the part of the stone kerbing about graves had fallen down on to the footpath were made by Mr A. Peverill at the meeting of the Christchurch Beautifying Association last evening. He stated that the Richmond Progress League had written to the City Council about it and the council had replied that it could find nothing wrong, yet that day he had again seen the fallen stonework. It was pointed out that the cemetery belonged to the Church Property Trustees, and that any repairs necessary would be their responsibility. Messrs A. Peverill and J. F. Poulton were appointed a deputation to wait on the trustees with lcgard . to the matter.
