“WORLD MOVES ON.”
“ The World Moves On,” which heads the programme at the Regent Theatre this week. is an unusually fine picture. Technically perfect, with faultless direction and dialogue, a superlative cast and an intelligent plot, it is not a film to be forgotten easily. The large cast is headed by Madeleine Carroll and Franchot Tone. Madeleine Carroll, rushed to Hollywood on the strength of her splendid performance in “ I Was a Spy,” makes her American debut a creditable one. She acts with sincerity and simplicity in a difficult role, and has beauty and a charming voice. The supporting programme, though brief, is also good entertainment.
