DELIGHTFUL TOUR.
Mr P. Collier Impressed by Resorts. (Special to the ••Star.**) QUEENSTOWN, December 10. A notable visitor to New Zealand, who has succeeded in his desire to avoid publicity, is Mr P. Collier. Premier of Western Australia, who has just concluded a tour of Mount Cook and Queenstown. lie left this morning for Dunedin. His first interview was given at Mount Cook and he maintained that it would be his last, but yesterday he could not avoid an informal audience in the hotel lounge.
Mr Collier described the southern tour as delightful and particularly interesting to Western Australians. He came on to Queenstown from Mount Cook, a route which connects with the new service opened by the Mount Cook Tourist Company of New Zealand, Ltd., from Studholme Junction through Kurow, Omarama and Cromwell, opening up interesting country for the tourist. Mr Collier said he was pleased with the accommodation and service during his tour and would commend a similar tour to others in need of a restful holiday. Mr Collier was just early enough at Queenstown to avoid the Christmas and New Year rush, when the township reaps its annual reward from visitors from all parts of the Dominion and overseas.
