SCHOOL FOR DEAF.
Annual Sports at Sumner Y esterday. The annual sports of the School for the Deaf were held at St Leonard’s Square, Sumner, yesterday afternoon. There was a large attendance of parents and friends. On account of a recent bereavement at the school, the arrangements were not quite on the same scale as those of previous years. Results:— Boys’ Events. 100yds senior championship—Ronald? Ball and saucer relay—girls’ A team 1, girls’ B team 2. An interesting folk dancing display was given by the girls. In the evening, the annual Christmas party was held in the school, and the sports prizes were presented.
