N.Z. ATTRACTIONS.
Warm Praise by Visitor From America. “You have everything here from semi-tropical jungle to real alpine scenery. A month in New Zealand is not long enough. I am coming back here again.” It is certain that New Zealand will have a warm advocate in the United States when Dr G. M. Park, of St Louis, returns home. For Dr and Mrs Park, after a tour of both Islands, are enthusiastic in their praise of the country’s attractions. “ Outside the varied scenery,” said Dr Park last night, “ the thing that impressed me most was the wonderful hospitality and friendliness of the people everywhere, and your tourist bureau is outstandingly efficient. Everything that could be done for us In the North Island, Dr and Mrs Park, together with Mr J. Foster Searles, of New York, who is touring with them, chartered a car with the Tourist Department’s co-operation and covered a lot of ground, their greatest pleasure being gained at Rotorua, which Dr Park compares favourably, with the famous Yellowstone Park of America. Waitomo came in for generous praise.
