And Sausages in the Daytime. INGENIOUS MACHINE. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 8, 3 p.m.) 4 DUBLIN, December 7. A machine which made sausages in the daytime and bombs at night-time was described in the Cork Circuit Court in an action in which William M’Laren was awarded £ll2 compensation and £4O costs. M’Laren said that during the AngloIrish troubles he equipped the foundry for making Republican Army munitions., lie had •• an innocent-looking machine in his confectionery shop. Whenever the police called he was turning out sausages, but after darkness the machine was connected with a contrivance that made bombs. Free State troops later destroyed the machine.
