SALVATION ARMY.
At the Salvation Army Citadel. Victoria Square, to-morrow, meetings will be held to welcome Lieutenant-Com-missioner and Mrs F. Adams, who have iust landed in New Zealand from England to take charge of the Army work in the Dominion. Commissioner Adams has had a long and varied experience of. Salvation Army warfare. Previous to coming to New Zealand he held the responsible position of Chief Secretary for Great Britain. The Commissioner, besides being a great administrator, is a very forceful, .fervent speaker. Mrs Adams is particularly interested in women’s work, she having come from the leadership of the British section of the Home League, comprising some 50.000 women. On Monday at noon the Mayor will extend a civic reception to Commissioner and Mrs Adams.
